I am a people imitator. More specifically, I am an imitator of stories, imitator of life. I don’t avoid being myself, however. In fact, I become more myself with each story I tell, with each character I portray. There is a truth that connects us all as humans and it’s a beautiful thing to discover those truths within the characters I play. These discoveries allow me to build and bridge a connection between myself and my audiences as we share an unspoken permission to dive deep and explore our inner selves. Through my work, on stage and screen, it is my hope to make these kinds of connections with as many people as possible. The more exposed and vulnerable I am in imitating a character’s life, the more my audience will hopefully feel comfortable in seeking out their own truths and inner lives.
